Amira Sajwani, the translator of Dubai's property market

How Dubai's Amira Sajwani moves the same property market between three public voices: institutional scale, fractional access, and civic narrative.

TL;DR

  • Amira Sajwani appears at IPS 2026, listed on the congress speakers page as Managing Director, DAMAC Group; she also runs PRYPCO and co-founded Amali Properties.
  • Across her public appearances she speaks in three distinct voices: the institutional developer, the fintech-access founder, and the civic narrator of Dubai's story.
  • The throughline is translation: she moves the same market between a father-built scale model and a generation that wants fractional, digital, emotionally-legible access.

Most profiles of Amira Sajwani pick one of her business cards and stop there. She is Managing Director of Sales & Development at DAMAC Properties, and the eldest daughter of the group's founder. She founded and runs PRYPCO, a Dubai proptech built to sell property in fragments. She co-founded Amali Properties, a boutique developer, and judges Shark Tank Dubai. Read across all of them, and a more useful pattern appears: she works in three distinct public voices, and moves the same market between them.

Legacy isn't something you preserve, it's something you build on.

Put those voices side by side:

  • The scale operator at DAMAC, speaking the language of legacy, a 3,000-strong agent network and full-lifecycle development.
  • The access founder at PRYPCO, speaking the language of tokenisation, fractional tickets and mortgages measured in days.
  • The civic narrator, speaking in the first person about what it means to live in Dubai rather than only to build in it.

The scale operator

At DAMAC, where she has been Managing Director of Sales & Development since 2017, Sajwani oversees the full development lifecycle, from design and construction to sales, marketing and analytics, and manages a network of more than 3,000 direct and independent agents. Her register here is generational. "Legacy isn't something you preserve, it's something you build on," she told Fast Company Middle East, describing her role as bridging what has worked at DAMAC with what the next generation of buyers needs. In a joint interview with her brother Ali, she framed the same idea as advancing a family legacy "deep-rooted" back to their grandparents. DAMAC's scale sits inside the broader market context set out in Dubai by the numbers 2026.

How can we make real estate a commoditised asset class, like gold or silver, where you can buy small amounts over time and build a portfolio gradually?

Amira Sajwani, PRYPCO

The access founder

PRYPCO, which she founded in 2022, is where that register changes entirely. The platform offers fractional ownership (Blocks), tokenised real-estate investment (Mint), mortgages and Golden Visa services, and its pitch is deliberately democratising. "How can we make real estate a commoditised asset class, like gold or silver, where you can buy small amounts over time and build a portfolio gradually?" she asked at Forbes Middle East's Davos 2026 session.

People see Dubai's skyline. We live its story.

Amira Sajwani

The ambition extends to the market's plumbing. "An average mortgage can take 55 days," she said in the same conversation. "We're trying to bring that down to five." In 2025 PRYPCO drew the first Middle East real-estate-tech investment from General Catalyst; Sajwani credited transparency, compliance and "working hand-in-hand with regulators and institutions" for building trust in tokenisation. The wider mechanics of that shift are covered in Tokenized property ownership.

The civic narrator

The third voice is the newest and the least corporate. Reflecting on a New York Times interview in a LinkedIn post, she wrote: "People see Dubai's skyline. We live its story." In public remarks on women in the sector she has been unusually candid, recalling that with two young daughters she "couldn't balance between them and work and everything else," and pushing back on the sector's framing: "To those who say it's a male-dominated sector, I remind them that when purchasing a home, the decision often lies with the wife." The same voice runs through her line that "you can be young, a female, and still have a bold vision."

The translation layer

What ties the three voices together is translation. DAMAC is a father-built scale model; PRYPCO is a bet that a younger, digital, fractional generation wants access to the same asset; and the civic voice is how she makes that shift legible to the public rather than to a boardroom. She does the translating out loud, across LinkedIn essays, a judge's seat on Shark Tank Dubai, and now international press. The craft-luxury end of her work makes the point too: Amali's flagship Villa Avatea sold for AED 220 million in 2026, which she called a reflection of "confidence in Dubai's ultra-luxury real estate market." This edition's IPS 2026 preview sets out what else is on that stage this week. She appears at IPS 2026 (7-9 September, Dubai World Trade Centre), listed on the congress speakers page as Managing Director, DAMAC Group, with the program placing her in a fireside session themed "Vision 2030 and Beyond: Building Cities for the Next Generation." For a European audience reading Dubai from the outside, she is worth hearing, fluent in all three of its languages at once.
