Privacy Notice
1. Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is RealTimes (Alexander Morari, ul. Chłodna 51, 00-867 Warsaw, Poland, EU), the organiser of b2bv2v26 London. For any data matter, write to Privacy@RealTimes.co.
2. What we collect and why
When you register for a place we collect:
- Name, email, company, and role: to review your registration and run the guest list (performance of pre-contractual steps you ask for).
- Phone, LinkedIn profile, registration tier, group size, and professional membership (RICS/RIBA/ULI): optional details that help us review your registration and apply member or team terms.
- Technical data (IP address, browser signature): abuse prevention, rate limiting and security (legitimate interest).
- If you use the LinkedIn sign-in: your name, email address, and LinkedIn identifier, provided by LinkedIn with your authorisation. We do not receive your password or your LinkedIn contacts.
If your place is confirmed we also process the details needed to sell you that place and to admit you: your billing and company details, your VAT identification where it applies, and the record of your invoice and payment. We do this to perform our contract with you and, for the invoice and accounting records, to meet our legal obligations. If you pay by card, your card details are entered on Stripe's own checkout page and are held by Stripe as our payment processor. RealTimes never sees or stores your card number.
Everything beyond the registration itself happens only with your separate consent, exactly as ticked on the form. Consent is the lawful basis for each of these, and each is optional:
- Event updates (programme, speakers, logistics).
- The RealTimes briefing on European commercial real estate.
- Sponsor visibility: sponsors of this event may see your name, company, and role for relevant follow-up.
- Guest gallery: your company logo shown on this site.
You can withdraw any consent at any time by writing to Privacy@RealTimes.co or using the unsubscribe link in any email. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing carried out before you withdrew it, and does not affect your registration or your place. Where you ask us for an invoice, a person reads and answers your request. We do not make automated decisions about you, and we do not profile you.
3. If you write to us
Partnership and sponsorship enquiries are handled by email rather than through a form on this site. If you write to us, at a partnership address or at any other RealTimes address, we process your message, your contact details and any attachments in order to answer you and to manage the commercial relationship that follows (legitimate interest, and performance of a contract once one is agreed). Business correspondence is kept in our mailboxes and business records.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
This site does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and it does not run third-party analytics profiling. It uses only the following:
- A short-lived cookie set after a LinkedIn sign-in, which carries your name and email to the registration form so the fields are pre-filled. It is set only if you choose LinkedIn sign-in.
- Cloudflare Turnstile, the anti-bot check on the registration form, which may set its own cookie or local storage entry to confirm you are not an automated client.
- A service worker, which stores a copy of the pages, styles and images of this site in your browser so the site loads quickly and works on a poor connection. It holds site files, not personal data, and you can clear it in your browser settings.
You can block or delete any of these in your browser. Blocking Turnstile may prevent the registration form from being submitted.
5. Who we share data with
- The RealTimes team running the event.
- Service providers acting on our instructions: Stripe (card payment processing), Supabase (database hosting), Vercel (website hosting), Resend (transactional email), Google Workspace (operational review sheet and email), Cloudflare (bot protection), Upstash (rate-limit records), LinkedIn (only if you use the LinkedIn sign-in).
- Our accountants, and the tax authorities, for the invoice and accounting records where the law requires it.
- Event sponsors: only your name, company, and role, and only if you ticked the sponsor-visibility consent. Sponsor exports are a snapshot taken at approval time. Once a sponsor holds that snapshot it is a controller of it, and its own privacy notice applies to what it does next.
- The venue, where a name is needed for access, security or dietary arrangements.
We do not sell your data.
6. Where your data is processed
We are established in the European Union and the event takes place in the United Kingdom, so your data is processed in both. Some of the providers listed above operate outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where data is transferred outside the EEA or the United Kingdom, the transfer is covered by an adequacy decision or by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses with the UK addendum where that applies. Write to Privacy@RealTimes.co if you want the detail for a specific provider.
7. How long we keep it
- Booking and guest-list data: up to 12 months after the event, then deleted or anonymised.
- Invoice, payment and accounting records: for the retention period required by tax and accounting law, which is longer than the 12 months above and currently five years from the end of the year in which the tax was payable. We keep these even if you ask for deletion of the rest.
- Business correspondence, including partnership enquiries: up to 24 months after the last exchange, unless it forms part of a contract or an accounting record.
- RealTimes briefing subscription: until you unsubscribe.
- Security and rate-limit logs: up to 12 months.
8. Your rights
Under the GDPR and applicable UK data protection law you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, and object to processing. Where we rely on consent you may withdraw it at any time. Write to Privacy@RealTimes.co; we answer within 30 days. You may also complain to your supervisory authority (in Poland: PUODO; in the UK: the ICO).
